All Dressed Up ~~Scraps Of Darkness~~

Good Morning,  This is another project I created using the incredible Scraps Of Darkness Signature October Kit "Morticia's Wish".  This is my take on our ever-talented SuePup's October Sketch.

I found this cool photo on Pinterest and decided to do a reverse canvas piece with it at the center.  I used the beautiful wasabi tape from the kit to frame the reverse side of the canvas.  I then used a piece of paper that held a group of canvases that I bought as a template to make some corner pieces for the canvas that gave me a little pocket to put some decorative fibers from Escelsior into.  I also used the Tim Holtz Die cut "In The Bag" to make the small bag in the lower corner to fill with the Dusty Attic branches from the kit along with the awesome skull stick pin from our very own Mandy from which I hung the Prima keys from.

I also made a little "Witches Spells" book and have some close-ups of that for you below.  I also used a fun technique for making a candle out of your glue gun sticks that I found on YouTube, sorry I can't remember who's tutorial it was, I'll try to add that soon.  I melted some glue down the side of the little candle and added some "Paprika" Orange Stickles to the glue, so fun!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!  Happy Halloween!!

Halloween Fun ~~Scraps Of Darkness~~

Hi Again, Here's another project using Scraps Of Darkness's Signature October Kit, "Morticia's Wish".

This is another layout of my two Grandsons Ethan and Elias from last year while we were taking a break from pumpkin carving.  I used the beautiful My Mind's Eye "Lost And Found Halloween" papers from the kit.  I also used my cricut and cut a big spider using some of the Halloween paper.

I also used the Dylusions Stencil Diamond Border from the Color add-on kit in the upper right-hand corner to add a little something to the layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy, and have fun with the blog hop!!

Halloween Treats ~~Scraps Of Darkness~~

Good Morning,  Here's another DT project I created using Scraps Of Darkness's Signature kit for October "Mortica's Wish"!!

This is a layout with a couple of photos of my Grandson Ethan last year making candied apples with me for Halloween.  I loved using the beautiful "My Mind's Eye "Lost And Found Halloween" paper collection from the kit for this one.  I used some Tim Holtz "Spiced Marmolade" Orange and "Gathered Twigs" Brown to ink the edges of all the papers.  The kit came with some burlap which I layered under the photos.  Ethan loves skulls so I just had to use the large one to compliment the skull paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy, and have fun with the blog hop!!  Happy Halloween to you all!!

Happy Halloween ~~Scraps Of Darkness~~

Here's another DT project that I did using the incredible Scraps of Darkness's signature October Kit "Morticia's Wish".  This is a photo of my two youngest Grandsons Ethan and Elias last year carving pumpkins at my house.

I wanted to keep this one clean and simple as I loved the papers and didn't want to take attention away from the beautiful Carta Bella "All Hallows Eve" Paper Line.  I used some Tim Holtz "Gathered Twigs Ink for the papers and some of the card stock stickers from the kit.  I used a couple of acrylic overlays from last year's kit to cover the photos and love how it lays on Elias's pumpkin!

Thanks so much for taking a peek and I hope you enjoy and have fun on the blog hop!!

                                                               Happy Halloween To You All

Grandsons And School Days ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Good Morning My Friends,  Today I have 2 DT projects that I made for Imaginarium Designs!!

The first project is a layout of 2 of my Grandsons, Ethan and Elias from this summer.   This is a photo of them after a day of shooting bb guns, riding bikes, and swimming.  They're sitting on my deck enjoying some popsicles!  For this project I used the "Gransons" phrase along with the new and fantastic buttons from Imaginarium Designs.

To alter the pieces I first painted them with some Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain", I then used some Folk Art "Burnt Umber" paint with a fanned paint brush.  After that had dried I painted them with some Tim Holtz "Copper" and wiped away the excess.  I then used some Liquid Pearls "Ocean Blue" around the edges, and I love how they turned out!!

And for my second DT project for Imaginarium Designs is a Mini Book.  I really enjoyed creating this little book.  I also made a book cover for the ID Mini Book.  Here's a couple photos of the book cover along with the ribbons and charms that I included along the spine of the book.

Here's is a photo of the cover page of the Imaginarium Designs Mini Book.

The next two pages include and flip up page for journaling or photos.  I've used a small metal ruler piece and a small globe for charms that I found at Michael's and distressed with some alcohol inks.

For the next 2 pages I made a pocket to include 3 tags for photos and journaling.  And on the facing page I made a "Mini Album within the Mini Book", it was so fun.  You only need one piece of 12 x 12 cardstock.  I will have  tutorial in the next couple of days posted on my blog if you would like to learn how to make one.  The Imaginarium Inches would be perfect for this size booklet too!!

And here is a photo of the tags that go into the mini album

The next two pages consist of pockets with lots of tags and journaling tags along with a ruler that I distressed and used some crackle paint to finish.

Here's a photo of the tags that are in the pockets as shown above.

For the next page I created a envelope pocket to hold a tiny tag, and on the facing page I used some of the cute cardstock to finish off the book.

Here's a photo of the tiny tag (sorry for the bad photo).

And here are the last pages that I used the beautiful graphic 45 cardstock images for.

Thanks so much for letting me share with you today and I hope you will enjoy,

I should have the tutorial for the "Mini Album within the Mini Book" in the next day or two!!

Don't forget to drop by Imaginarium Designs Blogspot and leave a comment for a change to win some awesome chipboard!!

I had some scraps left over from this project and decided to make a "wallet" photo album also.  Here's some photos of it.  I'll also have a tutorial for this in a couple of days!
