Good Morning My Friends,  Today is our reveal day for our January kit "Waterways" here at Scraps Of Darkness and I'm sharing some projects that I created using this exotic kit.

And here's a photo of the kit which includes some yummy papers from the Glitz Designs "Uncharted Waters Collection, Pink Paislee's "Portfolio" Collection, along with papers from Authentique's "Renew" Collection.  This is a really fun and exotic collection.

"The mark of a successful man is one that has spent an entire day on the bank of a river without feeling guilty about it" (Chinese Philosopher)

And here's the beautiful sketch for this month from our very one, ever-talented Suepup (Charlotte).

And here's my take on the sketch for January.  These are some photos of my family boating on Lake Tahoe a few years ago during one of our annual camping trips…so fun.  I used a combo of the Pink Paislee "Portfolio" collection and the Authentique's "Renew" collection.

For the next layout using this kit I used the Pink Paislee "Portfolio" collection and some of the Authentique goodies.  This is a photo of my oldest grandson Kenneth with his buddies.  They were playing video games all day last summer, and I gave them "orders" to go outside and run through the sprinkler…that woke them up and the title Reall?…Seriously? is exactly what they said to me. lol!

For the following layout I used the beautiful Glitz Designs "Uncharted Waters" Collection.  I just loved the colors in these papers!  This is a photo of my handsome hubby Jack and his brother-in-law Bill walking on the beach in Hawaii a couple of years ago.  I made the banner and added some circles folded in half to add to it, and loved how this one came out.

And here's a close-up of the banner I added to the layout.

And here's the last layout I was able to get out before reveal.  For this project I again used the Pink Paislee's "Portfolio" collection.  I really enjoyed these papers, I thought they'd be a challenge, but they are really fun to work with!  This is my grandson Kenneth at Lake Tahoe last year and my #2 grandson Ethan with Kenneth in the small photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy!!

January Guest Design work for Berry 71 Bleu

Good Morning,  Today I'm excited to share 2 projects that I created as Guest Designer for Berry 71 Bleu!!

I had so much fun doing these projects, the 13 Arts Frosted Life Collection of papers were just beautiful and the tags that Marivic makes are just incredible.  Here's the two layouts with a close-up of Marivic's beautiful tags she makes and sent to use in these layouts.

The images that I used for these layouts were created by my friend Teddi at Creative Souls.  Her work is just amazing and I thought they were perfect for this month's challenge and tags.  Thanks again Teddi!!

For the challenge, I would say that the thing that makes me feel beautiful are creating a great piece of art that is a part of how I feel and my grandchildren.  When I'm with them I feel like my life is so complete and beautiful.  I'd say my best phyisical feature is my hair and eyes.  My dream is to lose some weight and get in shape before I turn 60…I want to at my best for my family and for myself.

Thanks again for this opportunity, I'm honored to have been a Guest Designer this month!!

Berry 71 Bleu Blogspot is having a challenge this month:  Celebrate Me

This challenge is no-holds-barred…talk about your New Year's Resolution, your dreams, your childhood, your best and worst moments, what makes you laugh, cry, mad, what makes you feel beautiful….your best phyical feature, what you wish you could change about yourself…your pet peaves, your frustrations, your favorite food, color….maybe a secret?  Whatever you want to talk about as long as it's all about you.

Since we are talking about you…(the queen), here's our January theme that you need to follow:

We followed our generous sponser 13 Arts Frosted Life Collection.  They are sponsoring the winner and our Design Team this month with this gorgeous paper collection.

Random winners will receive a vintage-style skeleton key collection from Zeus and Zoe's Esty Shop.

Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Graphic 45 Little Darlings Mini Album

Good Afternoon,  Here's the next mini album that I've been working on in my spare time the last couple of months.  I think it was a Bo Bunny album, but can't really remember, anyway I made this for one of my scrappin buddies daughter's baby shower this weekend.  I loved using the G45 Little Darlings for this…just perfect!

Here's a photo of the cover of the album

This left-hand page has some fold out pages, as follows

This page has a pocket page as seen below

And here's some tags for journaling or small photos on the back that are in the corner pockets above.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek, I hope you enjoy!!

Graphic45 Film Canister Mini Album

Good Afternoon,  So I finally have a rest between migraines and wanted to post the pages of the G45 Film Canister Mini Album I created using their gorgeous "Ladies Diary" Paper Collection.  I did a lot of fussy cutting of the little ladies and used some of the chipboard pieces too.  For the cover I used some beautiful chince flowers I found at Michael's and the beautiful metal drawer pull from G45.  I really had fun making this over the last couple months, and am ready to start another!!  So here we go, here's the pages (by 2) I hope you enjoy!!

This is a photo of the cover and the inside of the cannister.

As here's the pages inside

And the last page

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Hope you enjoy!!

WONDERLAND ~~Imaginarium Designs~~

Happy New Year To You All!!!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and I wish you all a fun and creative year!!

Today I have 2 Design Team projects to share with you for Imaginarium Designs!

This first layout is a photo of my Grandsons Ethan and Elias at their school play, they're SO cute!!  I used the Prima "Printery" Paper Collection for this project along with the beautiful ID pieces including the Clock and Compass, words, and the Musical Notes with Holly.  To alter the pieces I first gessoed and painted with Folk Art "Wicker White".  I then used a fan prush to apply some Folk Art "Raw Umber" and then applied some Crackle Medium, which didn't dry so well and along with me having a migraine it was a little late to remedy, but I still love how everything came out!

My second project is a layout using some more beautiful chipboard from Imaginarium Designs, the gorgeous vine flourish, tinies flourishes, and the tinies oval frame.  I also used the Little Yellow Bicycle "Wonderland" papers from my December kit from Scraps of Darkness.  This was a beautiful image of winter I found on pinteret and just loved with these papers.   I used a lot of molding paste around the edge of the layout and altered the ID pieces using some Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Stain (Vintage Photo).

Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoy!!

Don't forget to drop by the Imaginarium Blog to leave a comment for a chance to win some beautiful chipboard!!

Hello Everyone

Hope you all have a wonderful and safe 2013.

Last week, we spent a day visiting all the blogs and sites for all the Ladies and Gent who applied for our 2013 Design Team.  All I can say is that it was a very hard task.  The standard of submissions was outstanding. There is such incredible talent out there!
We would have love to have everyone and found it really hard narrowing it down to a short list.

If you didn't make the final team then please don't despair as we will be contacting 11 of you to be a guest designer for one month this year.

We will also be sending everyone who applied, a small sample of our chipboard to play with and ask that the project you make using it be loaded up to our ning site.

It is always hard saying good bye to team members leaving us. Some of our wonderful girls from this year have decided to move on and we wish them all the love and luck in the world for their future crafty adventures.
So over the next few days we will be posting some of our favorite projects done by our departing team members.

We are saying a saying a sad farewell to...
Asuka Miyamoto
Gloria Stengel
Heather Jacob
Adriana Bolzan
Hilde Janbroers-Solk
Nadia Cannizzo

We wish them a wonderful and creative 2013.

Next week we will start introducing our new 2013 Design Team to you.
